Cassandra LaRae-Perez practices as a trial attorney before the state and federal courts of Vermont and New Hampshire, with a focus on commercial litigation, insurance defense and coverage, construction law and personal injury. Cassandra is also experienced in the area of telecommunications regulation and practices regularly before the Vermont Public Service Board.
In addition to her regular practice, Cassandra has developed an expertise in the field of asylum, and she represents asylum seekers in both affirmative and defensive cases on a pro bono or low fee basis. She is on the Board of Vermont Immigration and Asylum Advocates (f/k/a Vermont Refugee Assistance). In 2010, Cassandra received the Victor J. Garo Public Service Award to recognize her commitment to this work.
Cassandra graduated magna cum laude from U.C. San Diego in 1991 and cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 2002, where she served as an editor of the Boston University International Law Journal. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2002, the Vermont Bar in 2003, and the New Hampshire Bar in 2009. Cassandra joined the firm as an Associate in 2003.
