Jamie Feehan joined the firm in 1997 and serves as its Government Relations Director. In that capacity, he advocates on behalf of clients before legislators, committees, and administrative agencies, and mobilizes grass roots efforts on a wide variety of legislative initiatives and developments. Prior to joining Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer, Jamie was a Legislative Assistant to a former U.S. Representative where he tracked, researched, and wrote on legislative initiatives and developments. Jamie also represented the Congressman before constituents and representatives of interest groups on legislative matters. In addition, Jamie is actively involved in many successful political campaigns for U.S. House of Representatives and Vermont statewide elected offices.
Jamie has led the firm’s recent efforts on behalf of its clients on a number of legislative and administrative initiatives, including enacting a streamlined process for a utility’s access to utility lines on property for which there are no recorded easements, revising Vermont's telecommunications law that resulted in more streamlined regulation of certain telecommunications companies, enacting Vermont’s first law specifically addressing the crime of insurance fraud, enhancing funding and recognition for public transit in Vermont, restructuring Vermont's captive insurance laws and premium tax structure, revising Vermont's Securities Act, and enacting a major overhaul of Vermont's Investment Code for insurers.

- Jamie regularly contributes articles on legislation and the legislative process to client newsletters and publications. He is also frequently quoted in media articles on pending legislation, such as the VCIA Captive Chronicle Newsletter for Winter 2009.
Classes/Seminars/Speaking Engagements:
- Jamie is a frequent panelist at legislative conferences held in Vermont and elsewhere. He also regularly addresses clients’ membership meetings and meetings of Boards of Directors on pending issues and legislation.
