Supreme Court Experience

Doreen Connor is the choice for civil appeals in New Hampshire. She has handled more than 160 appeals before the New Hampshire Supreme Court, making her one of the most experienced appellate attorney in the state. Doreen was inducted into the selective American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL) in 2006 and is a perennial selection to Best Lawyers in America© and Super Lawyers® lists of top lawyers. Doreen’s knowledge and experience makes her a sought-after lecturer on appellate matters for the N.H. Bar Association as well as private organizations.

Doreen’s broad experience has included arguments involving insurance coverage, hedonic damages, unemployment benefits, and Daubert challenges to family law. Doreen has argued three parental relocation cases to the Court. She argued three separate family appeals between the Hampers, including an unprecedented affirmance of a trial court order awarding prospective attorney fees to her client for all post-divorce matters involving the parties’ minor son through the age of majority. 154 N.H. 275 (2006).

In Great American Dining v. Philadelphia Insurance, 164 N.H. 612 (2013) Doreen convinced the Court that her client was an additional insured under the policy issued by Philadelphia to the property owner, rendering Philadelphia’s million dollar subrogation verdict against her client moot. In Colony Ins. v. Dover Indoor Climbing Gym, 158 N.H. 628 (2000) Doreen convinced the Court the trial court erred when it invalidated a policy endorsement that required the insured Gym to obtain a written waivers from all climbing customers as a pre-requisite to insurance coverage.
