Jon Eggleston presented at a CLE Program at The Franklin Conference Center at The Howe Center in Rutland, VT, entitled “Revised Vermont Limited Liability Company Act: 2-Hour Practical Discussion of Updates to the Vermont LLC Act.” Each speaker wrote his/her own sections of the presentation. Other speakers included Tom Moody of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC and David Gurtman of Dinse Knapp & McAndrew PC. Jon provided LLC historical background as well as addressed all tax issues. The Vermont Legislature recently passed H.310, a comprehensive revision of the Vermont Limited Liability Company Act. The 2-hour program, presented by drafters of the revised LLC Act, provided an overview of the revised LLC Act and a discussion of what practitioners need to know when advising clients regarding new and existing LLCs.
