We are proud to announce that Alexandra (Alexa) Clauss was recognized as a Vermont Business Magazine (VBM) 2019 Rising Star. Each year, VBM recognizes 40 people under the age of 40 for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and involvement in their communities.

Alexa is an outstanding attorney with an employment practice devoted to providing practical, goal-oriented advice to businesses on employment law compliance and human resources issues. She counsels clients on all aspects of employment law and regularly conducts workplace trainings, internal investigations, and employee handbook reviews for her clients. Alexa is a frequent speaker on a variety of HR topics including harassment and discrimination, workplace conduct and accommodations, and employment law trends and developments.

In addition to her work and family life, Alexa dedicates her time to several community organizations. In 2017, she cofounded a giving circle called LIFT (Locally Impacting the Future Together). Collectively, through its members, LIFT has donated over $40,000 to local non-profits.  Alexa is also a volunteer consultant, trainer, and advisory board member at the Center for Women & Enterprise – Vermont (CWE-VT). For several years she has also served on the Leadership Team for the Greater Burlington Women's Forum (GBWF). GBWF hosts inspiring educational and networking events throughout the year, and our firm is proud to be the founding sponsor of GBWF.

Inspired by her love of Vermont, Alexa is committed to furthering growth and excellence in the state. We look forward to observing and supporting Alexa's professional and charitable endeavors for many years to come. Please join us in congratulating her.
