Jeff Johnson is licensed to practice law in Vermont and the District of Columbia. His practice focuses primarily on the legal needs of captive insurers, risk retention groups, purchasing groups, and their respective parent organizations. He and the Captive Insurance team form and then provide ongoing legal representation to captives (of all types), risk retention groups, risk purchasing groups, and all other forms of risk transfer entities. Jeff assists clients in their efforts to redomesticate, merge, conduct loss portfolio transfer transactions, enter into dormancy, and dissolve. He and the firm’s Government Relations team, lead by Jamie Feehan, also work on revisions to captive insurance statutes and regulations on behalf of the firm’s captive clients.
