Ryan Gadapee’s practice focuses primarily on the representation of domestic and international insurers and reinsurers including captives, reciprocals, and risk retention groups. Ryan’s practice includes representing clients in regulatory, legislative, transactional, and general corporate matters. His diverse experience includes his role as general counsel of a Florida-based property insurer during its initial growth and expansion phases and time with a national carrier where he had primary responsibility for the litigated claims arising out of the historic 2004-2005 Florida hurricane seasons. He has experience in creating and maintaining policy forms and underwriting manuals; claims handling and defense; and ongoing corporate and regulatory compliance. Ryan was a frequent participant and representative to industry associations and events, including significant experience with legislative matters. He was recognized for his ability to foster relationships with key legislators, regulators, and stakeholders from all sides in order to achieve the goals of his clients.
