Joseph D. Becher
As a member of the firm’s Estate Planning group, Ryan’s practice focuses on guiding individuals, families, and business owners through sophisticated trust, probate, and estate administration matters. He regularly develops comprehensive estate and tax plans that integrate business succession strategies, philanthropic goals, and asset protection techniques. His work includes advising clients on generation-skipping transfer tax planning, structuring charitable giving vehicles, and coordinating complex real estate transactions within the estate planning context.
Prior to joining Primmer, Ryan practiced trusts and estates law in Alexandria, Virginia, where he counseled clients on multijurisdictional estate planning and compliance with federal and state tax regimes. He is adept at translating highly technical tax concepts into actionable strategies that reflect each client’s personal priorities and family dynamics.
Ryan earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he distinguished himself through his participation in the Health Justice Alliance and the Environmental Law Society. He received his B.A. from Georgetown University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
