Southern Vermont's Upper Valley
The town of Woodstock, VT is an artsy, pastoral town in Southern Vermont, near the New Hampshire border. Part of a community known as The Upper Valley, Woodstock is an important town to the network of towns and villages in Vermont and New Hampshire which make up this association.
Woodstock was a long-time summer community for the exodus of New Yorkers leaving the city in the hottest months. Originally, Woodstock was an important lumber town, especially when the railroad arrived in the 19th century. Now tourism and arts continue to be some of the largest industries in Woodstock.
