We pleased to announce that Michael T. Durkin has joined the firm as Of Counsel. He has joined the firm’s Captive Insurance practice group, and will work out of our Burlington, VT office.
Attorney Durkin brings over ten years of legal experience to the firm, with expertise in structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements as well as managing legal, regulatory and business risks within the insurance and financial technology fields.
Prior to joining Primmer, Michael served in senior in-house roles, including with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont. He also practiced law at a Boston insurance defense law firm. Most recently, he worked as senior in-house counsel for two large fintech companies in both New York and Chicago, where he advised on regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, corporate governance, product development, privacy and cybersecurity.
Michael is a Vermonter and received his B.S. from Saint Michael’s College and his J.D. from Vermont Law School, where he graduated cum laude.
