“TORTS ILLUSTRATED FAILS TO ‘STEEL’ THE WIN: RAISES MONEY FOR COMMUNITY”

On March 16th, 2024, Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer participated in the Annual Curling Classic. The event, now in its 12th year, is a benefit for several Vermont non-profit organizations including The Howard Center, Dragonheart Vermont and the community initiatives of the South Burlington Rotary.

The annual event brings together area businesses and individuals to compete on the ice in a series of draws at Cairns Rink in South Burlington. Competitors receive and evening of instruction before the event, courtesy of the Green Mountain Curling Club as well as the Rutland Rocks Curling Club

This year’s event raised over $44K for the supported organizations. Primmer’s team, “Torts Illustrated”, comprised of attorneys John Wallace, Ryan Long, Jeremy Grant and Madison Prokott, landed as a 4th place fundraiser. The team raised over $900 through a series of internal events including an employee talent show, as well as an internal auction.

Costumed in Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys, the team competed in the 2nd draw valiantly, but sadly did not clinch the win. Of the experience, attorney and shareholder John Wallace said, “We’re proud to support the Curling Classic. We had a great time, and the real win is for the community organizations who will receive the much-needed funds. At its core, it’s all about giving, and moving our entire community forward.”
