Primmer Supports the 8th Annual “Are You Smarter Than a Breakthrough Student?”

Attorney Peter Dysart Named Forty Under 40
On Saturday, March 15, Primmer’s Curling Team: “Torts Illustrated” took the ice for the 2025 Howard Center Curling Challenge and delivered the firms best ever finish. We were undefeated in our draw, losing only in an overtime shootout to the 10 time reigning champion.
The team of Jesse Crary, Madison Prokott, Leah Ruck, and Jamie Pinkham learned quickly and found their skill on the curling sheet with Maddy as our lead off curler setting the stage for success every round with an elegant and strong curl. Leah in the 2nd slot routinely getting us points or knocking out our opponents all while looking like a professional. Jesse in the 3rd position with near perfect precision both in form and accuracy, netting the most total points for the Torts. Last, but not least, Jamie as the Skip delivering perfectly placed stones or clearing those of their opponents when her team needed it most in the championship game.
All 4 manned the broom with Jesse, Leah, and Maddy doing the lion’s share of sweeping our stones into the house and Jamie holding the line by calling the shots and reading the ice.
And how can we forget the brilliant Illustrated Torts attire devised by costume coordinator and team Captain Maddy. A cautionary tale to all… the Primmer Curling Team is not to be trifled with.
The team also won notoriety for their chosen team name: Torts Illustrated, winning the “Best Team Name” prize for the 2025 competition.
The annual event is a fundraiser for The Howard Center, The South Burlington Rotary and Food Shelf and raised over $46,000.
