This update is meant to provide a brief summary of the status of operations of New Hampshire state and federal courts during the COVID-19 Pandemic. As the situation is constantly evolving, should you have a specific question for a particular court, you should contact that court to ensure that you have the most up-to-date information.
New Hampshire Federal Courts
The United States Courts for the District of New Hampshire are currently operating pursuant to a number of Standing Orders in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. For all District Court civil and criminal hearings scheduled before June 1, 2020, the presiding judge has the discretion to postpone a particular hearing and/or reschedule it to occur by teleconference, videoconference, or in-court hearing. All jury trials, grand jury proceedings, mediations, and non-court related events are postponed until after June 1, 2020.

New Hampshire State Courts
New Hampshire state courts have stopped holding in-person hearings except in certain emergency and/or time-sensitive circumstances. Hearings may be conducted by video or telephonically, but jury trials and grand jury proceedings are postponed until further notice.
