On March 12, six members of the Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer team competed in Breakthrough Manchester’s  Annual Fundraiser and Quiz Gala, “Are You Smarter Than A Breakthrough Student?”

Competing against more than 20 other teams, the Primmer team, led by several brilliant Breakthrough Students brought home a trophy, tying for first place. Primmer Attorney and Breakthrough Manchester Advisory Committee Member L. Jon Ross said, “After two rounds of 6 questions each, a bonus question and bonus point and three tiebreakers, Primmer tied for first place with a group from The Derryfield School.   There were more than 20 tables of six each in the competition. This is Primmer’s second first place finish.  We support a great program for kids.”

In addition to Jon Ross, Primmer competitors included Doreen Connor, Brendan O’Brien, Paul Phillips and Mo Redmond.

Breakthrough Manchester prides itself in launching promising Manchester middle school students, particularly those from traditionally underserved communities, on their path to college while inspiring high school and college students to pursue careers in education. All Breakthrough Manchester programming, including transportation and meals, is provided tuition-free to students and funded by foundations, businesses, and individuals.
